In-form Priaulx League teams meet at Northfield

WITH the league's most in-form striker in their ranks, Rovers will look to delay North's inevitable pending coronation as Priaulx League champions tonight.

The league's two form sides meet in an intriguing contest at Northfield, with the hosts just five points away from their 31st league title.

Rovers are just three points behind Vale Rec and with a game in hand in the race for third spot and, in Luke Winch, the visitors have a man who has scored 10 in his last four games, including four in Saturday's 5-1 win against St Martin's.

Karl Addis is without Nigel Hutton through injury, while Kieran Mahon may be on the bench, as he juggles his ranks with what he now says is significant squad depth.

As for North, they are without experienced defensive duo Darren Martin and Ollie McKenzie, but are boosted by River Marsh's successful return from injury and he will definitely start.

Victory would move them five points clear of Sylvans with a game in hand and just a win at Rangers on Saturday away from picking up the silverware.

That big clash is one of three tonight, as Vale Rec entertain Bels at the Corbet Field and the bottom two, St Martin's and Rangers, meet at Blanche Pierre Lane.

All three games kick off at 7.30pm.
