JACK BOYLE must relocate to the island and 'sever his Jersey Muratti ties' if he is to represent Guernsey FC, says club captain Sam Cochrane.

In the days since the news broke that Caesarean star Boyle is considering playing for GFC next season, Cochrane has been one of the most vocal in giving his thoughts via social media.

And now, although he accepts that a 'trial period' of a few weeks – where Boyle would fly between the islands to train and play – can work, it isn't sustainable long-term.

'If Jack wants to play for GFC – which by its name and its badge is a representative team – he must be brave enough to sever his ties with Jersey,' said Cochrane.
