Safety all but assured for GRFC

GUERNSEY RFC can ''probably' safely plan for another National 3 season after a stunning comeback win 45-26 at Tonbridge Juddians.

But they are not quite home and safe despite a superb comeback victory on Saturday.

One more point may be required, but coach Jordan Reynolds is demanding at least four with a win over Westcombe Park on the last day of the season.

From 7-19 down after half-an- hour against 'TJs', Reynolds' men stormed back to level 19-19 at the break ahead of a dominant second-half display took them well clear.

But with Tring, Westcliff and Amersham all winning, there is a little more work to do, as Reynolds highlighted.

'One bonus point would do it, but we want to win to make sure. We want to perform next week,' said the coach.

Saturday's bonus-point success keeps them four points clear of the relegation trap, but with four points for a win and a fifth available for scoring four tries, it is just possible they could be caught.
