Port Soif to host cricket inter-insular

It is the first time in the history of the match that Port Soif will be used for the biggest game in the CI calendar and, in another break from the norm, the Jersey team will be staying over on island after the game on Saturday 22 August.

Mark Latter, GCB chief executive, has explained the move away from KGV.

'Given the development of the KGV site there was a slight uncertainty regards the state of works for the inter-insular and thus when we received the request from Rovers AC to host the match at Port Soif it all seemed to fit nicely.

'It also allows the GCB to acknowledge the efforts over the years of many at Rovers AC in creating the infrastructure they have at Port Soif.'
