Sadam Koumi, Sudan's international 400m star, has confirmed he will take on Great Britain's Richard Buck and Guernsey's Cameron Chalmers, the NatWest Island Games champion, at the event.

Koumi is widely experienced at age group and senior international level and is chasing Sudan's qualifying standard for the World Championships in Beijing later this month.

His personal best stands at 45.58sec for the one lap event.

The 400m sits near the start of Saturday's programme at 1.25pm and the capture of another quality performer follows news of an earlier announcement that former Great Britain 100m star Mark Lewis-Francis is competing in the biggest domestic track and field meeting for some time.
