Sleepy Lions lose again

TONY VANCE admits he is beginning to sound like a broken record after more errors saw Guernsey FC throw away a two-goal lead to lose at Sittingbourne.

Having gone ahead through Marc McGrath and Dom Heaume strikes and looking in control, they eventually lost 3-2 to make it six games in a row in all competitions without a victory.

Languishing in 18th place in the Ryman South table after six games, albeit one game behind most of the league, GFC manager Vance did not hide his anger at full-time.

'Individual and team errors are costing us at the moment and did again today, the big problem is that we are not a 90-minute team,' he said.

'We are either having a good first half, a good second half or a good spell at another time in the game, but then we are switching off completely for 10 minutes or so.

GFC will have a chance to respond quickly when they host Hythe Town on Wednesday night at Footes Lane, the start of a run of four home games in the next five.
