After an extremely busy programme, the last two races of 2015 have seen the Guernsey rider not only finish in the top 10 at the recent World Championships held in Denmark, but also retain her national age group title (women's 40+) on Sunday in the UK's Closed Circuit Championships held at Thruxton motor racing circuit.

After qualifying for the World Championships by winning her category at the inaugural Tour of Cambridgeshire in June, Bowie represented Great Britain and finished in a superb seventh place overall in her age group and first British rider home.

The 18.6km time trial was held in the stunning Danish town of Hobro.

'The course itself was not only technical but also hilly and made all the more interesting by the rain and strong winds,' Bowie said.

'It was a great event to ride in and made all the more special by getting the chance to wear the red, white and blue of Great Britain.'
