Raiders face tough trip to East Grinstead

GUERNSEY RAIDERS have to try to withstand a G-Force whose strength is increasing tomorrow.

East Grinstead, who use the G-Force moniker for their first XV, have the sort of financial backing that GRFC director of rugby Jordan Reynolds can only envy and this season they have added more quality to an already strong squad in their bid for promotion from National Three London & South-East.

Alongside several antipodean new recruits, they have also acquired Scotland Sevens international Gavin Hogg – the brother of World Cup fullback Stuart – as well as three players from the Greene King IPA Championship.

Reynolds laughs when he considers the resources at East Grinstead's disposal and jokes 'I would love to have that bank-book', but as things stand his in-form side are just one point and one place behind G-Force in the table and could potentially climb to third with victory tomorrow afternoon.

'I am not too worried about the league – a win would be good in itself,' he said.
