'There is more to come' says Heaume

THEY have made their best start ever to a Ryman South season, but Dom Heaume believes there is more to come from Guernsey FC as they prepare for a big midweek home clash.

South Park are the visitors to Footes Lane tomorrow with the two sides currently sitting level on points, but with the visitors having the luxury of a game in hand on the Green Lions.

A seventh win in nine games would be a big statement of intent from GFC, though, as the feel-good factor around Tony Vance's side builds.

Heaume's winner against Three Bridges at the weekend was his eighth of the campaign and means that GFC's tally of 29 points from 16 games is one better than in 2013-14.

'We have eight games between now and the end of November, so how well we do this month will have a huge bearing on how this season progresses for us,' Heaume said.

'But if we can continue building on this really good run of form, then we will have something to aim for in the second half of the season, namely the play-offs.'

  • Tomorrow’s match kicks off at 7.45pm.
