Two Stranger Cup ties produce 21 goals
THERE was a glut of goals on the opening night of Stranger Cup competition last night.

Holders Sylvans got their cup defence off to a winning start as they beat St Martin's 8-4 at Blanche Pierre Lane. Sam Murray scored a hat-trick, there were two goals for Euan Melrose and one apiece for Luke Jackson, Tom Martin and Ross Hanley. The Saints goals came from Luke Staples, Steve Renouf (2) and Sam McKenzie.
Meanwhile, at Northfield the home side hammered Rangers 9-0. Simon Tostevin scored four, Luke Mollet grabbed a hat-trick and there were also goals for Scott Bougourd and Danny Hale.
