Another November nightmare for GFC

TONY VANCE blasted his Guernsey FC side as 'unacceptable' following a disastrous second-half spell that saw them slump to a 4-1 loss at Chatham Town in Ryman South last night.

In what is becoming a regular trend, the Green Lions squandered a lead given to them by Ross Allen to collapse to defeat and after the four goals all came in a 30-minute spell – three after the break – manager Vance did not hold back in his post-match assessment.

'There are no excuses at all for that tonight, it was unacceptable and everybody must be held accountable for it, including myself, who I put to the top of that list,' he said.

'When we were winning games earlier in the season – that seems a long time ago now – we were hard to beat with the system we are setting up in, but now people aren't prepared to put the work in that it requires.'

GFC drop to 14th in the Ryman South table, although they are only three points off the play-off spots in a congested table ahead of Saturday's visit of Peacehaven & Telscombe.
