Horton excited by team's new link with Cavendish
TOBYN HORTON is delighted that an official new partnership between Madison Genesis and cycling superstar Mark Cavendish has been formed.
Madison Genesis yesterday announced their team for 2016, which includes Guernsey rider Horton, and at the same time released details of the link with Cavendish and his CVNDSH Scholarship in association with his new 2016 team, Dimension Data.
The partnership will include Cavendish dedicating some time to help develop young riders into accomplished World Tour competitors.
'Having Cav's name associated with the team is only going to help the profile and make it an easier stepping stone for riders to better themselves.
'Only positives can come out of it, it keeps the team progressing and what I like about Madison Genesis is that they do not say we just want to win the Tour Series again next year, it is how can we make this better and further improve these riders.'
