CARLY PARROTT made an instant impact on her return to the Guernsey Ladies side at home to fourth-placed Lewes in NC South East South One yesterday lunchtime at Footes Lane.

Restored to the wing, rather than her favoured full-back slot, the pacy No. 14 ran in four of the 10 tries, the last of which was from replacement Caitlin Donaldson on the verge of Dave Mahoney's final whistle, taking the home side past the half-century mark.

All season Chris Griffiths' team have had the power to make a big impression at this level after their championship winning maiden year, but they have been lacking the pace not only to create openings but also counter any quick backs in the opposition ranks.

But with Justeen Baker returning at 13 and Parrott fit again, Guernsey had too much speed and strength for the plucky, but outclassed, Sussex team.
