The home side pulled clear in the latter stages to win 32-19, another away defeat that sees Raiders drop two places in the National Three London and SE table, but it was nevertheless a good effort by the Guernsey side who were without a handful of first choices.

After a disastrous start when TJs ran in two early scores, Raiders battled back well and Eamon Chapman scored his first try for the club with Sam Whitehead converting.

In the second half Raiders took the lead courtesy of two catch-and-drive tries for Tom Ceillam and Cameron Craine before the hosts finished strongly.

Jordan Reynolds was pleased with the attacking aspect of his team's play but admitted that his men had paid for making more mistakes than the home side.

'I thought we did some good stuff in patches. We tried to play rugby and we were as creative as we have been all season.'

Although down to eighth Raiders are still in the promotion hunt, lying just six points off third in what is a congested top half.

Leaders London Irish Wild Geese stay unbeaten after sneaking home by a point away to Shelford.
