Guernsey Raiders 22, Colchester 10

JUST winning at National Three level is no longer enough for Raiders head coach Jordan Reynolds.

The Aussie was fuming at the full-time whistle at Footes Lane, having watched his men hang on for the win but hardly do it in style.

And Reynolds pulled no punches in assessing his side's performance.

'That was literally the worst second half performance in Guernsey rugby history,' having plainly forgotten that before the modern era there must have been many more diabolical displays than this one at a level past club greats could only dream of playing at.

But, clearly, he had a point.

Colchester, who were one dimensional in their attack and obviously not a great side, were there for the taking.

A bonus point win for the Raiders was a minimum requirement in what will be a tight promotion chase, but after a very decent first half effort playing into the wind, Raiders produced a second 40 that was error strewn and, on many occasions, just plain dozy.
