Watson and Murray off to winning start in Perth
HEATHER WATSON began her 2016 campaign with a singles defeat, but recovered to help Great Britain to an opening victory in the Hopman Cup.

Her teammate Andy Murray got GB off to a perfect start against France as he beat Kenny De Schepper 6-2, 6-2, before Watson lost her singles match with world No. 34 Caroline Garcia 6-3, 5-7, 6-3.
Team GB took the deciding mixed doubles 6-2, 5-7, 10-6.
Meanwhile, Watson has been named in Judy Murray's six-strong Great Britain squad for next month's Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Euro/Africa Zone Group 1 event in Eliat, Israel, along with Johanna Konta, Jocelyn Rae, Anna Smith, Laura Robson and Katie Swan.
