More contentious goals against, unawarded 'goals', woodwork struck, goalkeeping heroics, cruel deflections and denied penalty appeals - the footballing gods aren't smiling on Tony Vance's side.

At 3-2 up midway through the second half, the Sarnians could have put the game to bed. But some naivety led to the late turnaround.

On the positive side, it was a much better performance after recent disappointing defeats and a confidence boost from this display could get them out of this slump.

There was also a first goal for Robbie Legg, the 16-year-old's maiden strike having been cruelly eluding him until now.

Ross Allen and Craig Young scored the other GFC goals.
