'Guernsey United' on hold as Sharman scraps training sessions

THE Guernsey United project appears to be over – at least for now – after coaches Steve Sharman and Colin Fallaize decided to 'step back' from training sessions with the players.

THE Guernsey United project appears to be over – at least for now – after coaches Steve Sharman and Colin Fallaize decided to 'step back' from training sessions with the players.

It was confirmed as the Guernsey Football Association said the decision by the coaching duo was as a 'direct consequence of the views put forward by a number of club representatives'.

However, the GFA does go on to say that they 'retain a belief that the concept is one which can provide new and appropriate opportunities for players'.
