Munro goes for British glory - plus a potential Olympic Games 2016 spot - in Glasgow

THE pressure is on for Miles Munro this week as he attempts to become Guernsey’s first ever Olympic Games swimmer in what is his biggest British Championships yet.

Guernsey's Miles Munro, who won gold at the Youth Olympics as part of the GB 4x100m relay team, has been selected for the World Class Podium Potential Programme.

THE pressure is on for Miles Munro this week as he attempts to become Guernsey’s first ever Olympic Games swimmer in what is his biggest British Championships yet.

His efforts in recent months have been concentrated on trying to break into the Great Britain relay squads for this year’s Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, which take place in August.

But for those dreams to potentially become a reality, he requires career-best performances starting today [Thursday] at the Tollcross Swimming Centre in Glasgow, where the 2014 Commonwealth Games were held.
