After the Ormer Ladies launch a day earlier, it now seems the island's elite female footballers will soon have a choice between two rival regular games programmes with the Guernsey Ladies Football Club's launch now imminent.

With the launch of Ormer Ladies and their promise of regular games in UK competitions, it seemed that the GFA's own mooted GLFC version would be left in the shadows by their domestically unsanctioned rival club.

But an official press release is expected from the GFA in the coming days confirming the introduction of GLFC, which will be led by island representative coach Jordan Gallienne.

'We believe that the product we will be offering the girls is strong, specifically in terms of the games programme we will be offering,' said Gallienne.
