Melrose and Murray book Sylvans a place in final

FOR the first time in four years, the Rawlinson Cup final will not feature Rovers after they were made to pay for a mad five minutes by Sylvans at the Track last night.

Already trailing 1-0 to Euan Melrose's goal, Blair Howitt had the perfect opportunity to level it with less than 10 minutes remaining from the penalty spot.

But he dragged his effort wide and by the time the clock had reached 85min., Luke Winch had talked his way into a red card and within moments, Sylvans had doubled their lead through Sam Murray who sealed a 2-0 win.

Tonight's second semi-final is between North and Vale Rec.
