McKane's late show wins it for Rovers

A DRAMATIC Rovers winner deep into injury time saw Vale Rec suffer a second FNB Priaulx League home loss in the space of four days last night at the Corbet Field.

The clock was well into the 96th minute when Sam Hall sent Tyler McKane through on goal in the inside right challenge and, although Rec goalkeeper Fergus Moriarty got a hand on the young forward's shot, he could not keep it out and the visitors were jubilant.

Earlier, Nick Rumens had given Vale Rec the lead, but goals from James Carter and Blair Howitt put Rovers 2-1 ahead at half-time before Tom Dodds equalised for Rec in the 53rd minute via a deflection.

Meanwhile, at Blanche Pierre Lane, St Martin's beat Bels 6-0 with Ally Venosa scoring a hat-trick, Danny Hale getting a brace and Chris Le Noury netting the other.
