Last night's excellent 4-1 victory over in-form Walton Casuals also lifts them to 15th in the league table, after goals from Dave Rihoy, Ross Allen, Marc McGrath and Craig Young gave them a deserved win.

Afterwards, manager Tony Vance was delighted with his team's display, calling it 'an excellent performance collectively'.

'I was very impressed with the way we played tonight, particularly with our energy and our intensity,' he said.

'In the end, nobody here can argue that the better team won and the lads deserve all the plaudits they will get tonight.'

Next up for GFC is a trip to Lewes, who sit just two points and two places above Vance's men, but is the first of three successive Saturdays away from home.
