Priaulx heads to Japan for WEC round seven

IT IS back to the day job for Andy Priaulx this weekend as the seventh round of the FIA World Endurance Championship visits Japan.

Published

A week after he co-hosted the Pride of Guernsey Awards with his wife Jo in the Guernsey Press newsroom, Priaulx will be behind the wheel of the No. 67 Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT at the Fuji International Circuit.

'Fuji is going to be a really interesting track for me,' said Priaulx, who will be sharing driving duties with fellow Briton Harry Tincknell.

'I have never been there before, but love racing in Japan having been to Okayama in the FIA Word Touring Car Championship.

'Also for Harry it is a new experience, so we are going to do a simulator session together before we travel there, and we are going to arrive really knowing the place.'
