If it was not already apparent, the Green Lions are now right in the midst of a Ryman South relegation battle as they sit just four points clear of the drop zone.

But while most of those who braved the icy conditions were leaving the ground reflecting on a superb Tooting display, Vance was in scathing mood about his side.

'Tooting were very good tonight, but as good as they were, we were poor and that is the worst I have ever seen us play in our history,' lambasted the GFC manager.

'Aside from Tom Dodds, Matt Loaring and Tom de la Mare, the rest of them were terrible.

'I apologise to the fans who came down to support us tonight – they were fantastic again – because that was absolutely woeful and I am seriously embarrassed.'
