'A nice little link'

LEE JOHNSON, the highly-regarded young manager heading Bristol City's campaign in the Championship, says he is delighted to help out Guernsey football.

After news of a link-up being agreed between Guernsey and Bristol City, Johnson said the benefits can be mutual for both sides.

Part of the deal that Tony Vance has agreed with Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown may see a couple of the 'Robins' under-23s professionals turn out for Guernsey FC.

And while Green Lions manager Vance himself has said he will only use them to boost numbers as needed for midweek away games, Johnson is more than happy to help.
