DOM HEAUME admits he is still in the dark as to when he will be able to shrug off a troublesome foot injury and return to action for struggling Guernsey FC.
The 33-year-old has played only once since mid-November in what is the longest lay-off since the club was formed for the Green Lions’ top appearance maker.
And the man who, with 244 appearances, is 30 clear of any of his team-mates in that list, admits frustration is kicking in.
‘I have seen the doctor and he has sent me for a scan to try and see what is wrong because the X-ray I had didn’t show any break of the bones,’ he said.
‘So at the moment we are not too sure at all what the problem is and how long I will be out for, but it could well be a few more weeks yet because it is still painful when I walk on it.'
