Le Prevost set to miss rest of season

ALEX LE PREVOST admits that it will be 'a bonus' if he plays any more part in this Guernsey FC season, in another significant blow to the Green Lions' defensive ranks.

The 28-year-old has not played in 10 games after suffering what is looking increasingly like an identical hip injury to the one that sidelined him at the end of 2014.

Back then he required an operation to shave off some of the bone growth from his right hip and Le Prevost admits that another trip to the surgeon is looking likely.

'I need to go and see the specialist in Exeter and am waiting on that, but from the X-rays I have already had, it looks like it is exactly the same problem as last time,' he said.

'If it is the same, then it will mean another operation and if it is the same as last time, then about a six-week recuperation period before I can start jogging or light training.'
