JOHN PEACE is keen for his St Martin's side to go out and express themselves as they get ready to host their big Jeremie Cup semi-final clash on Saturday.

Something of a rarity in recent times, a last-four showdown in one of the inter-island cups is being held on Guernsey soil, with St Peter the visitors to KGV.

The match is now being played on the 3G surface at that venue, with a noon kick-off, after Blanche Pierre Lane was deemed unplayable.

With the visitors not in great form, allied with Saints' good season, there is genuine hope of a first Guernsey finalist in three years.

Saints coach Peace accepts that his side should go into it believing they have a chance of going all the way and becoming the first local team in five years to win the competition.

'Like every competition we enter, we go into it believing we can win it and this one is no different – we are not scared of any side we play,' he said.
