Crucial weekend in the three-horse title race

THE three remaining FNB Priaulx League title challengers are all in action as a busy Saturday afternoon sees a top-flight quadruple-header tomorrow.

It could just be that after gaining two points in midweek, St Martin's see this as another opportunity to pile the pressure on unbeaten league leaders North, because while North and second-placed Rovers both face tricky away trips to Sylvans and Rangers respectively, Saints will be expected to see off bottom side Bels on home soil.

That Blanche Pierre Lane clash kicks off at 5pm, three hours after the games involving the top two, meaning John Peace's side will know by then whether an opening has arisen.

As it stands, North lead Rovers by four points and have two games in hand, while they have a six-point cushion on Saints but with one game in hand.
