DESPITE suffering their first defeat of the season, North are not panicking as their quest for a third successive FNB Priaulx League title faces arguably its biggest test yet tomorrow.

Seemingly, out of nowhere, a St Martin's victory at Northfield in a battle between first and third would not only drag them into a genuine title race, but possibly make them joint-favourites.

They currently trail North by three points and also have played a game more, but still have to play the leaders once more again after tomorrow's clash.

The simple fact is that if they win every one of their remaining four games, then the worst position they would find themselves in is joint-top.

'We are aiming to win on Wednesday and if we do that will strengthen our position, but I am not getting excited yet about winning it or anything like that,' said Saints coach John Peace.
