O'Hara and Perrio complete individual hat-tricks

JACOB O'HARA capped a dominant weekend with a course record yesterday morning as the Intertrust Guernsey Easter Running Festival reached its climax.

Whoever crossed the line first on the brand new 10km road race course from Grandes Rocques to the Northside was going to take that accolade anyway, but following his individual victories over 5km on Good Friday and in Saturday's Keith Falla Memorial Cross-Country, it always seemed the case of what time O'Hara would set in winning rather than if he would complete the hat-trick.

The 16-year-old from Portsmouth did not disappoint as he took the tape in 32min. 37sec., 43 seconds clear of leading Guernsey runner Carl Holden in second place.

'The course was absolutely brilliant, nice and fast,' said O'Hara.

Louise Perrio mirrored O'Hara's achievement in the women's category, claiming her third individual win of the weekend in 35-14 as she crossed the line ninth overall.
