Problems afoot for the Raiders captain

CAPTAIN Lewis Hillier will miss Guernsey Raiders' final home match of the season but coach Jordan Reynolds is keeping his fingers crossed that he will be able to lead his side out in the Siam Cup.

Having suffered a nasty gash to his forehead in the last home game against Wimbledon, Hillier sat out the trip to Guildford before Easter and was set to return to action tomorrow when Colchester visit Footes Lane in the 26th and final round of National Three London & South-East fixtures.

However, the captain has now suffered a fresh setback.

'Lewis was scheduled to come back this week but he injured his foot in training. We are hoping it is just some swelling and nothing broken,' said Reynolds.

'He is on a bad run at the moment with unfortunate injuries.'

Guernsey Raiders v. Colchester kicks off at 2pm tomorrow at Footes Lane.
