Tries from captain-for-the-day Tom Ceillam and Cameron Craine helped give the home side a 12-3 half-time lead before Ned Brown, Kenny Hellier and Luke Sayer touched down after the interval for the hosts. Owen Thomas added two conversions and Hellier one.

'The performance was not great today, it was pretty poor,' said Guernsey Raiders coach Jordan Reynolds.

'To be fair, Colchester made us poor as well – they certainly did not look like a side who are getting relegated.'

Guernsey now look forward to the Siam Cup against Jersey at St Peter on Saturday 6 May.
