Biggest four days in Rovers' history

ROVERS start what their coach believes is the biggest four days in their history tonight as they go in search of a maiden FNB Priaulx League title.

Arguably the most thrilling title race only has two more matches to run, but right now, any one of North, St Martin's or Rovers could still be crowned as champions.

Whatever happens, it will go down to the final day of the season on Saturday when leaders North host Rovers, but events tonight at Blanche Pierre Lane will impact significantly on that game because, at 7.30pm, Saints and Rovers face off, with the loser officially out of the running and, if it is a draw, Rovers' hopes are also over.

Despite their two tough encounters, though, Rovers know that back-to-back victories would see them lift the Priaulx Cup for the first time in their history.

'Yes, I would have to say it is the biggest four days in our club's history because it is all in our hands now,' said Rovers coach Jez Robin, who is likely to have a full-strength squad at his disposal.
