'Underdogs' best prepared to end that sorry Siam Cup run tomorrow

SEVEN years after making his Siam Cup debut, Lewis Hillier will lead Guernsey out for the first time in the annual clash in Jersey tomorrow believing he can enjoy a first win too.

'There have been seven years of some hard defeats, that's why we go in as underdogs on Saturday, but going from last year's Siam, which was hard for everyone to take because really it was a game we should have won, I am looking to sort that out this weekend,' said the Raiders captain.

'All the pressure is definitely on them at the moment, regardless of how many pros they play.

'We go in as underdogs in the knowledge that last year was a good game in which we did have momentum, but as soon as we lost one of our key players it hit us and undoubtedly Jersey's fitness levels kicked in after about 60 minutes.

'But we are confident going into this game.
