Rovers sign third GFC player of summer

TOM MARTIN has become Rovers' latest high-profile signing, with Karl Addis believing his three Guernsey FC men will inspire the club's youngsters.

Teenage left-back Martin was a breakthrough performer for the Green Lions last season and it is hoped from within GFC circles that he tries to make that role his own in the new campaign.

But when he is not on GFC duty, he will play his Priaulx League football at Port Soif after deciding to leave his boyhood club North, in what is his first transfer.

Martin joins Luke Winch and Kieran Mahon as Rovers signings, although North have still gained in the transfer window by bringing back defenders Craig Mollet and Jack Domaille.

'Hopefully now, with the likes of Luke, Kieran and Tom to look up to, these youngsters will be inspired to stay at the club and develop into Rovers senior footballers,' said Rovers coach Karl Addis.
