IT WAS always a formality but the idea of Guernsey staging the 2021 NatWest Island Games did not raise a single murmur when the vote was taken in Visby in Gotland on Saturday.

THE penultimate day of action at the NatWest Island Games included the fast-and-furious Town Criterium cycling events, the semi-finals of football and tennis among others and the final night of swimming. Peter Frankland visited several sporting venues around the island once again.
