THE first day of sporting action at Jersey 2015 brought with it the first medals for Team Guernsey, with the men's half-marathon team claiming gold in the opening event of the programme. Peter Frankland was on hand to record some of the highlights of day one.

THE XVI NatWest Island Games were officially declared open on Saturday night in Howard Davis Park in Jersey where 3,000 competitors from 24 members islands will take part in a week of competition in 14 different sports. Peter Frankland captured the action.
