Kitching steals 'Upton' winner

OV Convicts 2, GHC Colombians 3 DEFENDING champions Evolution OV Convicts were edged out 3-2 by Guernsey Hockey Club Colombians in a fast and furious Channel Islands club championship encounter at Les Quennevais.

DEFENDING champions Evolution OV Convicts were edged out 3-2 by Guernsey Hockey Club Colombians in a fast and furious Channel Islands club championship encounter at Les Quennevais. After just three minutes OVs were reduced to 10 men when Stephen Osmont was yellow carded for a high stick and before long Colombians took the lead through the sprightly TJ Ozanne nipped in to score at the far post.

The giant Kees Jager was outstanding in the Colombians goal but 15 minutes from time OVs drew level when Dicker was on hand to flick the

Ozanne quickly notched his second to put the visitors back in front before Jon Cartmell levelled a second time.

With just three minutes left left-winger Adam Kitching slipped a reverse stick shot home for the winner.
