PAUL TOSTEVIN and Peter Durham held on to their overnight lead and claimed the 2003 Star Trophy open foursomes by two strokes at L'Ancresse yesterday. The partnership have now been in existence three years, but this was the first occasion it has clicked.

A level par net 70 was enough to clinch them victory from runners-up John Burford and Brian Lucas, while juniors Stuart Hamon and Shaun Mills combined to take third spot.

The youngsters' 67.5 was the day's best net score, beating Mike Queru and Stan Baker by half a shot.

At the evening presentation Guernsey Press sports editor Rob Batiste handed over framed action shots to the eight Guernsey representatives at next week's NatWest Island Games competition.
