INVESTEC Colombians warmed up for the men's knockout final in convincing fashion on Saturday. Admittedly, the Division One title was wrapped up a month ago and the match with the Clubhouse Unwantables was little more than a friendly, but the champions were in no mood to let their standards slip.

They were also missing a few regulars, but they were not going to use that as an excuse to take things easy either.

Instead, they got on with the job in hand and had the game won just after half-time when Adam Kitching scored the goal of the game - an excellent individual effort - to make it 3-0.

They could have already had more than that by that stage having created several decent chances in the first half.

TJ Ozanne put his side ahead after just six minutes as he applied a drag-flick finish to a short corner and on the half-hour he doubled the lead in similar fashion.

In between those goals, the island forward could have added a couple more to his tally, but twice he shot wide and another time he was denied by goalkeeper Paul Bullock.

Just moments after the break Kitching finally added the third with a superb solo effort, beating a couple of defenders before slotting home and he gave the assist five minutes later when Chris Colmer got on the scoresheet.

Rob Newton managed a consolation for Unwan-tables with a well-taken goal but Ozanne was to complete his hat-trick and a comfortable win late on.

In the last round of matches in the women's league there were wins for Clubhouse Cubs and Approved Personnel Panthers over OSA Amazons and Puffins respectively, while in the Men's Second Division Mosgrove's Yobbos Two drew 1-1 with Generals.
