SARNIANS finished the domestic season on a high with championship play-off victories for their second and third teams. In the Division Two clash Sarnians Two romped to a 49-18 win over P & J Conservatories for whom Jan McCurdy stood out.

Despite a close first quarter, Sarnians dominated and by half-time had doubled their rival's score.

Players-of-the-match Helen de Vial (WA) and Katie Wallen (GA) deserved their nominations for their speed and agility, but credit must go to every player for their obvious determination to succeed.

Meanwhile, the Sarnians youngsters edged out Autumn Gold for the Division Three title by a single goal (34-33) in a thriller.

The lead see-sawed right up until the final whistle.

Both teams showed a fearless desire to win and during the final quarter, with the score standing at 24-24, umpire Gwen Trump called time out and asked the players to slow things and be aware of the treacherous conditions.

Abby Manly-Guilbert and Laura Callaway stood out.
