ANDY EGGO has won the L'Ancresse Club Championship for the third year in a row.

ANDY EGGO has won the L'Ancresse Club Championship for the third year in a row. It is the second time he has achieved the feat.

He shot a two-round total of 138 to finish two under par, beating Danny Bisson, the leader after the first round, by one shot.

Eggo birdied his last three holes to card a second-round gross of 67.

Mick Hamon walked away with the Summer Wine Trophy for the best net score. The three-handicapper shot a two-round net of 136 to finish four under par.

Keith Wheeler and Danny Blondel were second and third respectively, a shot back on three under. Sean Mills was the top junior, carding rounds of 70 and 71 from his six handicap.

JERSEY rowers had the better of the Sark-to-Jersey race on Saturday, winning the majority of the classes.
