C&W ROVERS are two wins away from the Barclays Premier One title and an Evening League-GCA Championship double. Last night Tim Duke's side completed their second victory over Deloitte this week and once again the skipper led the way, taking his tally of unbeaten runs against this opposition to 171.

He did give a chance when on 19 and he made Deloitte rue dropping it by going on to hit 79 not out from 51 balls with 12 boundaries as Rovers made 139 for three from their 17 overs.

Deloitte's reply got off to the ideal start with Justin Meades and Simon Huxtable adding 55 in less than seven overs, but once Matt Jeffery made the breakthrough, the batting side capitulated.

The fast bowler went on to take two more wickets in a vital spell that regained his side control of the match.

Then Nick Derbyshire was re-introduced to the attack and he mopped up the tail with a series of quick, stump removing yorkers.

The island player was twice on a hat- trick and he finished with five for 27, but it was Duke who wrapped up the game with the second of his two wickets.
