Thompson seals easy club title
EMILE THOMPSON romped to a nine-shot win in the 36-hole Guernsey Junior Golf Club Championship.
EMILE THOMPSON romped to a nine-shot win in the 36-hole Guernsey Junior Golf Club Championship. It was a creditable performance by Thompson who totalled 151 (11 over par) to win the Phillips Trophy.
Stuart Hamon finished runner-up on 160, with Sean Mills third one further shot back.
Thompson also won the handicap section with a sub-par score of 139, two shots clear of runner-up Ben Perfitt.
Jamie Le Page won the Royal Guernsey Golf Club's Captain's Prize for juniors which was played in conjunction with the second 18 holes of the club championship. Le Page scored a net 67.
Jamie de Carteret has won the latest red-tee competition for the Goodridge Cup, scoring a net 65 off his 30 handicap.
