ROB BOX is not going to get carried away with Guernsey's outstanding start to their first London Four South-West campaign. The GRUFC coach oversaw his side's sixth straight victory at the weekend - a first win for the club over Southampton - which kept them level with Dorking on 12 points at the top of the table with only a points difference of 14 separating the sides.

But despite having completed a third of their league programme without suffering a defeat, Box is not talking about a second consecutive promotion at this stage, although he admitted that he expected a decent start.

'With the team I have got, yes. After knowing that we were going to keep the likes of Matt Morgan and with the South African guys turning up, I was pretty confident.

'I have got the players now whereby, if we can keep them, we are able to do whatever we want on a given day, as long as we perform. It really is down to us,' said Box.

'I would be pretty disappointed if we did not come in the top four with the start we have had,' he added, in the knowledge that some of his star performers to date will not be here much longer.

The big test away to Dorking on Saturday 20 November is fast approaching, but Box's current focus is on the next fixture at home to Petersfield a week earlier.
