AT THE top of Division One, MeesPierson Reads Sarnians One predictably saw off Nerine Trust D without any problems while Nerine Trust B did the same to Barclays Masters. The latter game was hard fought, with Barclays showing their usual determination until the final whistle despite their rivals pulling into a 16-goal lead by half time.

GD Elaine Creed earned herself a player-of-the-match nomination after a busy evening of defending and for Nerine GS Anna Trump bagged her third nomination of the season.

Success came for Nerine Trust C in a match against Mees-Pierson Reads Sarnians Two.

Both teams were determined and the first quarter saw plenty of defending and few goals.

Nerine's shooters Hannah Dunnell and Amanda Eley are a great partnership and together they notched up a healthy lead that Nerine maintained for the remainder of the game.

Sarnians were not to be denied a consolation point, however, and despite failing to score a single goal in the third quarter and trailing by 12, they made some tactical changes in the circle and clawed back enough to claim their point.

Division Two presented the toughest match of the season so far, with top of the table P&J Conservatories and Guernsey Motor Spares battling for supremacy.

In a good, clean game the similarities between the teams' abilities were obvious and the scores mirrored each other for the majority of the match.

WD Louise Bott was a key player for P&J's defence, while Guernsey Motor Spares' GS Abby Lajoie collected a player-of-the-match nomination for her efforts in the circle.

They led to her team snatching victory by a single goal, placing them firmly at the top with an unbeaten run so far this season.

Elsewhere in Division Two, Ship & Crown beat Nerine Trust G and K&R Flooring were defeated by Heritage One.

Close Encounters claimed their first victory of the season against Nerine Trust K in Division Three.

They left it late to pull ahead and for the greater part of the match the scores were level.

The closing quarter saw Nerine fail to score and Close seized their opportunity to take the honours. Nerine K can take heart, though; they worked hard enough for a consolation point.

JT Electric halted Nerine Trust J in their quest for domination. Nerine were unbeaten until this fateful match and JT Electrics showed no mercy, powering ahead and keeping the goals flowing until the final whistle, making a final score of 50-20.

PWC maintained their second placing in the table with a win against Nerine Trust H. After a shaky start Nerine could not pull back enough to get into the game.

PWC, however, had no such troubles and took the points with ease, denying Nerine a consolation point in the process.
