THREE members of the PricewaterhouseCoopers School of Excellence are in the UK this week to receive coaching at academies. Jamie Nussbaumer and Peter Le Hegarat are at Radley College in Oxford, attending the Cricket Coach Master Academy run by Gary Palmer, Richard Illingworth and Peter Moores.

Tim Ravenscroft is in Southampton at the Hampshire Academy before moving on to Taunton for training with the west of England squad.

'Peter and Jamie are away for two days and will attend further sessions through to Easter.

'Games have been arranged by the academy against the likes of Warwickshire, Worcestershire, North-amptonshire and Derbyshire which will give them an important insight into the professional game,' said Guernsey Cricket Board development coach Jason Shambrook.

'Tim has the chance to strengthen his place in the regional west of England side at the Christmas trials. A good all-round performance from him over the three days would make him a certainty,' he added.

Shambrook also revealed that Sussex CCC coaches Mark Robinson and Keith Greenfield have been confirmed as two of the PwC School of Excellence appointments over the February half-term break.

'It is fantastic news that we have secured the services of two level four coaches for the five-day programme. They will work with our top young cricketers and also our coaching staff.

'The opportunities for the players are growing along with the standard of local cricket,' Shambrook said.
