Young Amy is Wright on form

UNSTOPPABLE Nerine Trust A powered their way to another victory in the Condor Group League top division with a convincing win against Nerine Trust D. For the D side, up-and-coming GD Amy Wright gave a taste of her promising defensive skills when faced with the formidable GA Nena Bourgaize and both received a player of the match nomination for their endeavours.

Meanwhile, MeesPierson Reads Sarnians One also stormed ahead in their match against TCCI.

Credit to TCCI though for still turning out despite only having six players.

They battled for the duration and scored an impressive 21 goals but the top Sarnian side was never troubled.

Anna Trump and Denise Bourgaize were instrumental in Nerine Trust B's 42-22 victory over fellow club members Nerine Trust C.

Their combined skills and experience proved invaluable in attack and defence respectively and despite some sterling work from WD Gemma Tingay and GD Claire Green, stemming B's flow of goals, the likely victors were established very early in the game.

Division Two saw Guernsey Motor Spares back on form as they beat K&R Flooring in a hotly-contested match.

The score stayed close for the duration but GMS always seemed to be a few steps ahead and thanks to a final push that's exactly how they finished the game, with 10 goals to spare and five points on the table.

Their nearest rivals, P&J Conservatories, also dominated their match against Ship & Crown.

GK Linda Gavet made her mark in the circle and prevented Ship & Crown from converting many opportunities.

This coupled with P&J's confidence in linking defence and attack proved very successful and they walked away with the spoils.

Nerine Trust G were beaten by a single goal in a match against MeesPierson Reads Sarnians Three, the cruellest of margins after they led for the majority of it.

The final quarter proved to be their undoing when Sarnians scored a flurry of goals to take them into the lead just in time for the final whistle.
